Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the services provided by Aard Pty Ltd (ABN 48 697 662 383, “Aard”), including our MCP server, API, and website. By creating an account or calling our API you agree to these terms. If you are using Aard on behalf of an organisation, you agree on its behalf.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your API keys secure. You must not share keys publicly or embed them in client-side code.

Acceptable use

Aard exists to ground models in public data. You may not use Aard to misrepresent the source of a figure, strip citations from responses, circumvent rate limits, or reverse-engineer underlying commercial licences. You are responsible for ensuring that your downstream use of any series complies with its publisher's licence.

Data licensing

The indicators and series available through Aard are sourced from third-party publishers such as SDMX and are provided under their respective licences. Aard does not claim ownership of the underlying data. We do claim rights in the harmonisation, metadata and query interface we add on top.

Service levels

Free-tier usage is provided as-is and may be rate-limited, paused or withdrawn. Paid plans carry the availability and support commitments specified in your order form.

Billing and refunds

Self-serve subscriptions are processed through Paddle as merchant of record; business and enterprise subscriptions are processed through Stripe, with Aard as merchant of record. When fees are refundable, the circumstances and process are described in our Refund Policy.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aard is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months.

Changes

We will update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account email addresses at least thirty days in advance.
